The South of England Curling Club’s “Learn To Curl” course will introduce complete beginners to the sport of curling over two 2 hour on-ice sessions and one 1 hour off-ice session with a 1 hour social lunch break.
By the end a participant will have the basic skills necessary to play in matches at the social level. The cost of the course covers instruction supervised by UKCC certified curling coaches and rental of all the necessary equipment.
The course will cover the fundamentals of the curling delivery, sweeping technique, the rules of the game, team roles, and basic tactics. Each session will be divided between basic skills, coaching and mini-games.
Includes: Delivery Basics, Sweeping Basics, Team Roles, Rules of the Game, Team Communication, Basic Strategy, Etiquette, Next steps in your curling career.
